I think tying the Empress to mythic Great Mother figures really helped me see that depth and dimension. You very rarely come across that interpretation in traditional tarot books, it's hyper focused on her pure, generative, constructive aspects. But I do see it come up in readings, especially when combinations of cards shift the meaning in that direction.
