I am excited for this offering and appreciate your willingness to share and step into your dream here. I am in my 50s and have spent my lifetime working with my dreams. Having come to midlife with this long practice I am deeply aware of how powerful dream work is. I am who I am because of my dreams! What has always been potent for me is to use the dream image as the source for creative work (it helps that I’m an artist so I can devote a lot of time to this. Currently I am working on a show, “Dreaming Animals” ). There’s something potent about just letting the dream saturate your awareness and bringing it fully into the waking world. See you soon!
Love that approach, Stephanie. I've often turned to my dreams for inspiration and guidance with my creative work. When I feel stuck a dream can present an image that really gets things moving.
Is your show about animals in dreams or about animals that dream (or something else)?
I loved your dream and the way you worked with it, Alyssa. Some dreams just defy analysis and need an immersive approach. It also demonstrates the importance of taking the dream seriously. You understood intuitively what the dream meant but still had to work through the protestations of the ego. I would love to join the whole dreamwork program and have signed up but I will have to be content with the class recordings and miss the others because of the time difference from where I live. I also applaud your dedication to this work. It is difficult enough to do the personal work. Teaching it is another whole level but you clearly have what it takes. When your observer self posed the question "What inspires you?" I immediately thought 'love', and unsurprisingly, you said the same thing. I have the deepest respect and gratitude for Marion Woodman and she was a fitting dream symbol. I do get the feeling occasionally, when someone of this calibre shows up in my dreams, that it has an objective quality to it, as though the spirit of the person is present. All the best, Gloria
Thank you for such a thoughtful comment, Gloria. The love of the material really is the core of the inspiration. My life has been changed by working with dreams, they've been a resource and guide through my inner work, and I feel lucky to connect with others who are also curious to explore the unconscious.
I love what you've said here about the objective quality to Marion and other similar figures. I agree! Somewhere through that collective layer of the unconscious is the essence of those beings that we can connect to :)
You're dream was so beautiful. I loved it so much - thank you for sharing it too! It's so inspiring to witness real life examples from people - I really appreciate you sharing it. I'm looking forward to the foundations sessions - and, as a side note, I'm glad you kept going so I could find you and explore all these topics alongside similar minds/seekers :) Big love!
Thank you for this offering. I’m Looking forward to exploring dreamwork in this way. I have been an avid dreamer and dreamwork practitioner for years and always looking to find new ways of working with dreams.

Both, actually--the dreams of animals, but also animals in dreams (mostly mine).
I like the somatic approch to dreamwork you demonstrated - of being with the dream instead of going into interpretation mode. Thank you!
Let me know if you try it out!

Great to hear, Courtney! How do you typically practice dreamwork? Do you follow any particular traditions?
